World Class Salmon Fishing

Deer Lake is home to the Humber River, globally recognized as one of the best salmon rivers in the world. Visitors to the area enjoy peace and tranquility while fishing on our uncrowded rivers for the largest salmon on the planet. Trophy salmon of 25 pounds or larger are frequently caught. Larger salmon are available here, and while fun to play are very difficult to land due their incredible stamina! The season is best from June through September.

Deer Lake is the provincial hub for snowmobiles. As a gateway to a fantastic network of groomed trails that take riders through mountains, valleys, and the world famous Gros Morne National Park.

Humber River Golf Course

Named after the river that borders the course, Humber River Golf Club offers golfers of all levels a fun golfing experience amidst a tranquil and lush rural landscape.
